E. Michal Gayer

E. MICHAL GAYER is the co-founder of Lightshine Ministries International (LMI) along with her husband Bob Gayer. As the principle inspirational teacher for LMI, Michal is a widely sought-after guest speaker. She has taught and ministered in over 500 churches across the United States, Mexico, and Canada in single and multiple session services as well as community-wide teaching conferences. After founding the Healing Rooms of Augusta County, VA in 1993 and administering that community outreach until 2008, Michal established the Narrow Gate Biblical Healing School. This specialized teaching outreach was created to help people develop a thorough understanding of what the Bible has to say about healing. Based upon the book Narrow Gate: Understanding Biblical Healing, authored by Michal, this highly acclaimed teaching school has been put into a multimedia format and is now in worldwide distribution. Michal has developed and administrated numerous specialized Christian ministry and education programs. She is the author of books and manuals including the very popular books Paint Yourself Healed: Healed by God of Brain Cancer, Narrow Gate: Understanding Biblical Healing, Vessels of Power: God’s Power Connection and Convinced by the Word: Healed by God. Michal’s manual, Healing Leaves: Handbook for Starting a Healing Ministries Program, has assisted churches in the United States and abroad in developing healing ministries outreach programs.  Michal’s books, teaching curriculums, and educational materials are now in worldwide circulation in over 50 countries.

Michal graduated from Juniata College (Huntington, PA), has attained a Master’s Degree in clinical psychology from Wayne State University (Detroit, MI) and is ordained through the Foursquare International Church (CA). Prior to entering full-time ministry, Michal’s career included having worked as a school psychologist (Dearborn, MI) and college instructor at the University of Michigan (Dearborn campus), Pennsylvania State University (Pittsburgh campus) and Blue Ridge Community College (Weyers Cave, VA). She also worked as a staff psychologist for the Community Mental Health/Mental Retardation Center (Pittsburgh, PA), instructor for the Adult Learning Center of Mary Baldwin College (Staunton, VA) and co-founder of Business Energizers Advertising Firm.

Michal is an avid oil painting artist with her paintings displayed under the title of Art by Michal. Her husband Bob acts as curator for their Enduring Moments Gallery where many of Michal’s works are on display. Some of her artworks are available for purchase in her PAINTINGS section of the site.

Michal is the mother of two sons and lives with her husband Bob in Virginia.
